The Panther women hosted Santa Barbara for Round 3 of the 3C2A regional playoffs, defeating Santa Barbara 1-0 to advance to state finals.
Just three minutes into the game, Chaffey's Sydney Cotter scored the game's sole point. Then it was up to the Chaffey defense to hold the Vaqueros off. In true Chaffey fashion, the Panthers did not allow a ball into the net, giving the team its 23rd shutout of the season.
Chaffey's women now advance to the Final Four of competition and will take on the northern #2 seeded Folsom Lake at Mt SAC Friday.
