Reigniting the longtime rivalry between Chaffey and San Bernardino Valley, the Panthers brought their A-game to the Sports Center court Friday night, sweeping the Wolverines 3-0. This was Chaffey's 10th sweep this season.
Taylor Johnson had 11 kills and hit .556 on the night. Kendall Mency had 13 kills and 8 digs.
The Panther squad dominated SBVC from the start taking the first set by 12 points. The Wolverines battled hard through the 2nd with the teams going back-and-forth adding points before a 28-26 finish for the Panthers. Set three went to Chaffey 25-15.
The Panthers host Cerro Coso tomorrow night and will play Valley again on 11/15.
