The Panthers took their second IEAC contest all the wway to five sets Wednesday, coming up just short of their target and falling 3-2 (24-26, 11-25, 28-26, 25-18, 12-15).
It wasn't looking good for the Chaffey squad early as they dropped their first two sets including the second by 14 points. However, the women came on strong in set three finally besting the Eagles 28-26. Chaffey continued that momemtum shutting down MSJC 25-18 and forcing the teams into a final round showdown.
Victoria Meneses had a double double scoring 17 kills and 18 digs, team leader for both stats Wednesday. Also scoring in double digits were Alicia Gurrola, Emily Robbins, and Alyssa Gomez.
The team played Victor Valley yesterday.
