BANUELOS, MARI, AND RODRIGUEZ NAMED TO ALL-SCC TEAM
Congratulations to Clarissa Banuelos, Cecilia Mari, and Jaylynn Rodriguez for being named to the 2021 All-South Coast Conference team.
Panther Women's Water Polo finished their season 6-15 winning their final two games against Rio Hondo and Pasadena City College at the SCC Championship Tournament to claim the conference 5th place slot.
Head Coach Laura Kocsis summed up the season: "Coming back from a long break due to COVID was very challenging on its own and on top of that both teams had small roster numbers. Given those challenges, both teams can be proud of what they achieved. We had our ups and down, but we learned a lot. We had a great finish to our season with big wins which I hope will give a push to our group for next season. I have high expectations for 2022! With only one of our players (Darian Sanchez) graduating this year, the core group of men and women will return already having some college play under their belt. The plan is to add high quality athletes to our teams who will be great additions, not only as athletes, but as individuals with good character as well."
