The ladies traveled to Long Beach City College yesterday, beating the Vikings 6-3 in an SCC crossover game.
The Panthers took a 2nd inning lead (1-0) and expanded in the 2nd with a run by Samantha Warner and a run in the 3rd by Izzy Dena. LBCC tied it up in the 4th but a 3 run rally by the Panthers in the top of the 9th gave Chaffey the win.
Marissa Mendoza pitched all 9 innings for Chaffey, facing 43 batters and giving up 9 hits and 2 runs.
The Panthers begin SCC North Conferernce play Tuesday, March 7th at Rio Hondo.
