The ladies hosted El Camino Compton yesterday afternoon, defeating the Tartars 5-4. The Panthers took a 1 run lead in the 1st and held Compton scoreless until the 6th. In the 7th, ECC took the lead for the first time, 4-2. Chaffey answered back with 2 runs when Izzy Dena homered bringing in Marisa Mendoza. In the 9th, Dena tripled (her third hit for the game) followed by a Cassie Seymour single to win the game.
Morgan Finley went eight innings against the Tartars and also had one hit.
The ladies travel to Citrus for a double header today.
