The game between Chaffey and Long Beach yesterday was nothing short of intense, with both sides showcasing their skills on the field. In the fourth inning, Chaffey was able to score off a Destini Starks single, which sent the crowd into an uproar. The 1-0 lead by Chaffey was short-lived as Long Beach quickly responded with two runs in the inning.
Chaffey could not recover from Long Beach's response despite putting on a fierce fight. Alexya Naranjo pitched all six innings against the Vikings, facing 27 batters and giving up six hits.
Chaffey put up a great fight in the non-conference game. The team heads to Santa Barbara Saturday for a doubleheader starting at noon.
