The Chaffey College softball team flexed their muscle on Thursday, defeating Grace University 14-5 via the mercy rule at home in Rancho Cucamonga. Grace University, in its inaugural season of collegiate softball, couldn't stop the Panthers' 20-hit attack.

Vivian Medinilla led the charge for Chaffey, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, a home run, and four RBIs. Freshman outfielder Riley Montion also had a perfect day, going 4-for-4 while scoring three runs and driving in five RBIs.
Freshman catcher Rosyvette Garcia Pacheco contributed two hits and three RBIs, joining several other Panthers with multi-hit games. Sophomore pitcher Amanda Sera from Baldwin Park High School was effective on the mound, allowing only three earned runs, and she also helped her own cause with three hits and two RBIs.
With this win, the Panthers' record improves to 5-5. They will travel to Saddleback College on Friday, aiming to even the series after a close 4-3 loss on Wednesday.
