Vivian Medinilla has been named CCCFCA Player of the Week

Sophomore Vivian Medinilla has been named California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Week.

Medinilla, a third baseman, mashed an .889 batting average with four extra base hits while driving in four runs over three games this past week. She went 4-for-5 across a two-game stretch against No. 17 Saddleback, then exploded for a 4-for-4, one-homer, two-extra base hit performance in a 14-5 win over Grace University. 

She’s hitting at a staggering .537 clip across 12 games this season. That mark is the second-highest in the state of hitters with 40 or more at bats.
