PANTHERS ARE PLAYOFF BOUND WITH HOME WIN OVER RIO HONDO
With two games still remaining in the season, tonight's 83-62 win over Rio Hondo takes the Panthers to a 6-2 conference record - one game behind East LA. Tonight's victory secured Chaffey's 16th playoff appearance in the last 18 years.
All twelve Panthers hit the court with Manu Oulai and Andy Garcia dominating the basket at 15 points each. Garcia was 11:12 from the line.
Jeff Klein, "Chaffey secured a playoff berth with their fourth consecutive victory. Up by eight at halftime, the Chaffey Hustlin' Panthers played lockdown defense in the 2nd half; dominating the boards and knocking down 80% of our freethrows."
The Panthers travel to LA Trade Tech Wednesday. The last time the two teams matched up (two weeks ago), the Beavers went home with the highly coveted win 87-80. Since then the teams have gone in differnet directions with LATT dropping their last four games (including tonight's 13-point loss to Pasadena) and Chaffey winning four in-a-row. The Panthers return home next Friday to host the Pasadena Lancers for our final regular season home game where we will be honoring our 2018-19 sophomore athletes at our annual Coaches vs Cancer game.
