Bio

We would like to welcome Ariel De Trinidad to Chaffey College as an Assistant Softball Coach. She comes to us with great experience in the development of student-athletes and the continuation of their athletic and academic endeavors.

Before joining the Chaffey College softball staff, De Trinidad spent her time in the field of Social Work. She is currently a Foster Family Social Worker for all ages within foster families as well as a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program Social Worker, working with teenagers and adolescent boys. De Trinidad has a passion for working with the youth and adult population to enhance the well-being of individuals and families. Ariel’s focus for being a social worker is to help all of those in need while providing adequate resources, providing the compassion and empathy towards others. De Trinidad is currently in the process to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker while also coaching at Chaffey College. Her passion for softball goes above and beyond as she enjoys helping athletes develop their skills and strengths to go to the next level. De Trinidad focuses on heart, discipline, work ethic, being resilient, and leadership skills for athletes.

De Trinidad attended University Massachusetts Global where she earned her Masters of Social Work with Honor Society. Prior to UMass Global, she attended California State University of Chico where she earned a softball scholarship and finished with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. De Trinidad then transferred out to Butte College while maintaining attendance in both schools of Chico State and Butte College and earned her AA degree in social sciences. While at Butte College she played a year of softball in 2016 earning the team Golden Valley Conference title in pitching that hadn’t been done since 1989 with an outstanding record of only losing 2 games throughout season. De Trinidad received Second Team All-Conference for the season. 

Along with her coaching experience, De Trinidad helps manages the pitchers, catchers, and the instruction of hitting, fielding, and baserunning. During her time at Butte College as an assistant softball coach, she has organized fundraising activities, recruiting for the program, hosted softball clinics for all ages and helped athletes transfer to four-year colleges. 

Ariel De Trinidad is also a 2013 graduate from Santiago High School in Corona, CA earning four varsity softball letters with 4 all conference titles, 2 CIF champion titles and 1 State Champions title along with receiving academic honors.

Ariel has a daughter named Hevani Mo’Kelesi and in her free time enjoys hanging out with friends and family, being active in sports, going to the beach, and traveling.
