CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT MOORPARK INVITATIONAL

Panther Cross Country got their first taste of regional competition Friday, burning up the course at the Moorpark Invitational.
Both teams were able to field complete rosters and placed in the middle of the pack with the men coming in 6th and the women 5th of 13 teams.
Andrea Baerenwald lead the women with a 16th place 21:23 finish (5k). For the men, the charge was lead by Joseph Chavarria also placing 16th 22:26 on the 4-mile course.
The team heads back to Ventura County Friday for the Oxnard Invite.
