PANTHERS GET PREVIEW OF SO CAL FINALS COURSE
Panther Cross Country got their preview of the Southern California regional finals course Friday, running the trails at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
The women put up a 13th place finish with nine Panthers running a lifetime, two season bests, and two collegiate debuts. Andrea Baerenwald returning to competition after taking a week off to rest, running in the lead and placing 53rd overall.
The men also finished 13th and posted six lifetime bests and two excellent debuts. Joseph Chavarria again held the front position clocking in at 21:34 on the 4-mile course.
The team will run this course again November 3rd in hopes of qualifying for the 2023 state finals. In the meantime, Panther runners host the Chaffey Invitational at Saturday, October 7th.
